Nepal Day 1

The joys of travelling

We arrive at Heathrow airport and are ready to check-in our bags.
Except Emirates is not.

They changed the flight initially because the transfer time in Dubaï is too short by their policy (<2:30). They claim they tried to contact us about it but couldn't because the travel agent did not provide our contact numbers. AARRGGH!!! (> <)

Call to the travel agent: deal with it we paid you!
Except the clown won’t talk direcly to the Emirates representative.
Is their English so bad? French are often really bad I must recon.

After almost an hour on the phone (argh my bill!!) we have no choice: fly now or stay.
If we fly now we must sign adisclaimer from Emirates to acknowledge we may miss the connection
and any cost will be at our charge.
Well it will be at the travel agent IMO because all this is their fault since their failed to provide the reason for the flight change, backtrack and claimed it was a mistake and didn’t handle the situation at all. (I love email trails)

We board the plane wondering how far we can go.

To Emirates credit, the staff has been helpful and eventally moved us so we could disembark first.

First time in Dubaï, where should I go? I have no time to get lost there.
Ask someone…“You need to go back and find the tranfer shuttle to change to Terminal 3”.
AARRRGH!!!

This airport is huge.
We run. Find the shuttle. And…wait. It is not time for it to depart.
AARRRGH!!!

5 minutes later that felt like 30 we can get on.
It is past midnight and there are only 4 people incluing us.
The ride last 20 mins
This airport is huge.

We are running out of time…we still need to get our boarding passes from the counter
because online checking was not available for this leg of the journey!
And go through security!
AARRRGH!!! (O O;)

But we make it just 1-2 minutes before the doors close.
(sigh)
Now it will be ok…or will it?
