Nepal Day 11

The real test: Cho La pass (5350m)

Right before climbing I was sick and had diarrhea which surely didn’t help.
I can’t see what I ate last night or for breakfast but that didn’t work for me obviously.

So with most of my energy gone already, this was extremely difficult
and I was out of breath most of the time during the climb and descent.
Of course this was a pass crossing day so the ascent was steep and long. Same for the descent.

Makeshift silverware

Then followed a 3-4h walk to the next village.
On that part no-one waited for me which is quite rude and I’d say irresponsible from the guide.
I’m used to handling situations alone but still: not cool.

Probably not the correct mountain

After I finally arrived at the lodge, I had tea and lunch and went straight to sleep.
Vincent woke me up for dinner. I didn’t feel like eating much
but knew that it is important to keep eating and stay hydrated.
I have a tendency to loose weight quickly on those treks.

I went back to bed right after a dish of plain rice and slept for 15h!
