Flight back to Kathmandu
We got out early to catch a plane.
The weather may not be so good so everyone would be rushing for few flights or else be stuck there for another day.
It was a great trip but also a long one so I was eager to go back.
We parted with the team and took the plane only with the main guide.
Flying back to Kathmandu was okay.
The plane was small and noisy but it didn’t crash down the slope of the mountain when taking off.
So that was positive IMHO.
But the Kathmandu main airport was under renovation so we actually landed in a smaller one at a four our drive away.
We cramed ourselves and a few other people inside a minivan and took off.
It was a miserable ride.
The driver stopped after maybe 2h to have some food.
If at first we were al happy to stretch out and have a drink, that stop seem to never end
and we all grew impatiant to reach our hotels.
When we were finally at the outskirt of Kathmandu, he made another stop for a second lunch.
Noone liked it at all and we made it clear. So this time the break was short and not 1h as they told us initially.
The minivan left us inside Kathmandu and we took a cab to the hotel.
Finally we could eat, drink, shower and sleep in comfort.
