Flight to London (almost)
We had a tight schedule to fly back to London.
The first leg was from Kathmandu to Dubaï and the second longer one to London.
There was only 2.5h in Dubaï to make the change and given our experience on the way in,
it was a bit longe but not by much.
Unfortunately, that first flight was delayed by 90 minutes,
most of which we spent inside the plane on the tarmac waiting in line for take off.
That was terrible enough, and of course we missed our connection.
But when we landed in Dubaï, Emirates had all sorted out and got all passengers a room
at a nearby hotel (with free shuttle) and boarding pass for the next flight the following morning.
I could select which seat I wanted too which allowed me more leg room.
The food at the buffet was excellent and the bed so comfortable it was a shame I had to wake up at 4:00 to catch my plane back.
Sadly the previous trip was so tirering I didn’t manage to leave the hotel for a quick visit of Dubaï (we arrived around 15:00).
Maybe another time.
